The short answer
Take trolleybus 59 to Nádraží Veleslavín, then metro A into the centre. One 90-minute ticket (46 CZK) covers it. Skip the Airport Express.

Taxis: where visitors get ripped off
People in yellow jackets with “official airport taxi” signs wait in arrivals, and some aren't official at all. One documented ride was quoted 500 CZK and billed 1,500 CZK. Since 1 October 2026 Prague has no taxi fare cap.
- ✓ Download Uber or Bolt before you fly and add your card.
- ✓ Book after landing: the price is fixed before you confirm.
- ✓ Walk to the ride-app pickup zone the app shows.
- ✕ Go with anyone who approaches you inside.
- ✕ Get in without a price shown or agreed.
- ✕ Pay cash because “the card machine is broken”.
Landing late
When the metro stops around midnight, night buses 907 and 910 leave from the same stop. Your 90-minute ticket is valid.
Questions people ask
Is the Airport Express worth it?
No. Since January 2026 it costs 200 CZK per adult (100 CZK for ages 6 to 15), and PID tickets aren't valid. Trolleybus 59 and the metro reach the same main station on one 46 CZK ticket.
Is bus 119 still running?
No. Trolleybus 59 replaced it on the same route. Older guides still say 119.
